Our Speakers
Marion Wolfert - A German specialist with the Family History Library in Salt Lake City; Ms. Wolfert will give 3 presentations; the keynote address, a presentaton on Border Changes in Germany, and Records in the Various Provinces and Regions of Germany. Details click here
Maralyn Wellauer - A well-known genealogist specializing in Swiss research; Ms. Wellauer will have returned from a research trip to Switzerland just prior to our 2008 conference. In two presentations she will talk about new information in Swiss research. Inviting a speaker to talk on Swiss research is a first for a Pal Am National Conference.
Meldon Wolfgang - A noted genealogy speaker and owner of Jonathan Shepard Books; Mr. Wolfgang will talk to us about newspaper research, when to hire a professional, and tracking cultures lost in transition. Details click here
Roberta Estes - knowledgeable on DNA and how it relates to genealogy. Ms. Estes two presentation will address DNA, Genealogy and You: An introduction and using DNA to break down brick walls.
Ken Smith - an author and teacher of German Script. Mr. Smith will lead us in Reading German Church Records, and Confirming your Ancestors Place of Origin.
Ann Miller Scott - the librarian at the Palatines to America National Library will speak on Beginning German Genealogy. It will be a two part presentation.
Barbara Nuehring - a speaker new to Pal Am Conferences, but with interesting information to share on "time lines".
